Dr. Teich’s treatment plans are individualized per patient in order to ensure that every patient receives the best quality care possible. Many aspects of his treatment plans differ from what insurance covers for in-network providers. Therefore, in order to protect this level of treatment, we have not signed on with any insurance companies, including Medicare, as a network participant.
If you have out-of-network coverage, and have reached your deductible, your insurance plan may reimburse a significant portion (or all) of our fees for insurance billable services performed here at the practice. We do not bill insurance companies directly, as many insurance plans will attempt to pay the provider instead of the patient. Although we cannot guarantee or be responsible for any reimbursements, we will do our best to advise how to work with your insurance company, and provide them with whatever information necessary to process your claim. Before your first visit, we recommend contacting your insurance provider to find out what out-of-network coverage your plan provides.
Patients covered by Medicare will receive an “Opt-Out” letter to sign and hold for their records. This letter explains that our bills cannot be submitted to Medicare. It does, however, give our Medicare patients the potential to collect reimbursement from any secondary insurers when submitted to them along with any statement from our practice.
Morton M. Teich M.D., P.C. cannot be held responsible for the amount of reimbursement received.
We ask that our patients pay the full balance of their service charges at the time that they are provided.
Some probiotics and other supplements suggested by the physician are available for purchase in the office.

Since every appointment with Dr. Teich and our staff requires careful attention to the patient’s individualized care, last minute cancellations can deeply affect us and our schedule. Therefore we have committed to a 48 hour cancellation policy. This 48 hour window includes non-business hours. Patients are subject to a cancellation fee for any cancellations or “no shows” within 48 hours of a scheduled appointment.
